We are looking for Future Part Time Preschool Teachers to educate and nurture our students with developmental disabilities, ages birth to 5 years of age, Monday through Friday 3:30pm to 6:00pm. The ideal candidate would be flexible to work with all ages birth to 5 years of age. This position offers no benefits.
This is a great part time position for college students and retired teachers!
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Child Development Associate® (CDA) credential preferred.
• One year of professional child daycare experience preferred.
• Special Education experience preferred.
• CPR/First Aid Certification required.
• Must pass Federal and State criminal background check.
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Ability to write and send professional emails in Microsoft Outlook.
• Experience in the use of Outlook Calendar, Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Good typing skills and ability to document and record daily client notes in software program.
• Set a good example for students to follow.
• Organize snacks, and supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times.
• Track children’s progress and document as instructed.
• Collaborate with other educators.
• Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards.
Physical requirements
• Prolonged periods of standing and frequent bending.
• Must be able to lift up to fifty pounds at a time.
• Will be exposed to illness-causing bacteria and viruses.
